Education
The College Broker is a boutique educational consulting and leadership development organization dedicated to helping young people build meaningful lives through education.
While we guide students through the complexities of college admissions, our work extends far beyond applications, essays, and acceptance letters. We believe that education should help students discover who they are, what they value, and how their unique gifts can contribute to something larger than themselves.
Our students are leaders, artists, researchers, athletes, entrepreneurs, advocates, and first-generation scholars. They are young people who care deeply about their communities and seek lives defined not solely by achievement, but by purpose, integrity, and meaningful contribution.
We partner with families who understand that true educational success is not measured exclusively by rankings or prestige, but by the kind of person a student becomes along the way.

Our boutique model allows us to build authentic, long-term relationships with the students and families we serve. Rather than moving through a high-volume system, students work closely with experienced educators and mentors who know their aspirations, challenges, values, and ambitions.

Our work is informed by educational research, leadership development frameworks, and experiential learning traditions that emphasize whole-person growth.

While many of our students attend highly selective institutions, prestige is never the destination. Instead, we help families identify universities, opportunities, and pathways that support intellectual growth, personal fulfillment, community engagement, and long-term flourishing.

We believe outcomes should reflect who students become—not simply where they enroll.
Our students have earned prestigious scholarships and merit awards, including recognition through programs such as the Lilly Endowment Scholarship and Purdue Presidential Scholars.
They have gained admission to exceptional institutions across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, including Harvard, MIT, Yale, Cornell, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Cambridge, the London School of Economics, McGill, Wesleyan, and many others that aligned with their individual goals and visions for the future.
Beyond admissions, our students have:
Raised more than $65,000 to support children and families within their communities.
Developed nonprofit initiatives and advocacy projects.
Built internship pathways with organizations including the NFL, Big Ten Network, and SEC Network.
Pursued meaningful research, leadership, and service opportunities that continue long after graduation.
The most important measure of success, however, is not where students go.

North Star Praxis represents the next chapter of The College Broker's broader educational mission.
Designed as a leadership fellowship and experiential learning institute, Praxis exists to help students develop the uniquely human capacities that cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence: critical thinking, ethical leadership, creativity, communication, empathy, initiative, and civic responsibility.
Inspired by the North Star as a symbol of purpose and direction, the fellowship encourages students to discover their own internal compass while building meaningful lives rooted in service, curiosity, and community.
Because the future belongs not simply to those who know the most - but to those who understand how to lead with wisdom, humanity, and purpose.
A Personal Commitment to Educational Opportunity
MEET OUR FOUNDER
The College Broker was founded by educator, researcher, mentor, and community advocate Meaghan Rysdale.
As a first-generation college student raised within a working class family, Meaghan experienced firsthand the transformative power of education and the importance of mentorship, resilience, and community.
Her work has included doctoral study, university research appointments, graduate education through Indiana University, Harvard University, and MIT, and years of supporting students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and personal backgrounds.
Yet the philosophy that guides this work remains remarkably simple:
Every student deserves an educational journey that honors who they are, where they come from, and the impact they hope to make in the world.
Not simply where they hope to attend college — But who they hope to become.
